  • WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE FiTbodymd?
    We have been the innovators in applying professional sport medical science to the development and betterment of your own personal fitness and wellness goals. We believe that we can take advantage of all the science, nutrition and medical treatments that have been developed for high end endurance athletes and use it to gain better health.
  • HOW DO I START?
    The first step is contacting our offices. You will be sent a thorough health questionnaire and will be required to send us any recent laboratory, radiological, or medical evaluations. Our medical staff will review the information and will contact you if any further study requests are needed. There is no cost to the patient.
  • CAN I JUST WALK IN AND GET TREATED?
    In order for us to be the most thorough and time efficient for our patients, we only treat by appointment only. It is our belief that time is precious and all our patients will be attended to at the time scheduled for your consultation.
  • WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST VISIT?
    During your first visit, we will conduct a comprehensive health assessment, discuss your health goals, and create a personalized wellness plan. This may include recommendations for nutrition, exercise, stress management, and preventive screenings.
  • HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I EXPECT TO BE AT YOUR CENTER?
    A tFitbodymd Medicine we know that your time is your most valuable asset. All our visits are by previous appointment only. We communicate frequently with our patients to make sure that any necessary test or laboratory work up are done in a timely manner so that our doctor has all the information to make your visit a highly productive one.
  • WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT?
    For your initial appointment you should bring an official government issued ID, any test or laboratory workup that we have requested and all available radiological, pathological, clinical, and or laboratory paperwork that you have. Also, a list of all current and recent medication including: name, dosage and indication (if know) that you might be taking. Keep in mind that part of this initial visit is to set a goal of treatment and the more information our doctor has, the more productive your visit will be. ​ For the initial visit, we ask our patients to arrive 20 minutes prior to your schedule appointment in order complete any necessary demographic paperwork. The encounter with the physician for the initial visit will range between 60 minutes and 75 minutes.
  • WHAT WOULD BE MY FOLLOW UP?
    Based on your initial evaluation, you follow up appointments and frequency will be discussed. Based on the goals that you wish to achieve proper follow up either in person, via telephone etc. will be discussed. Our office has a strict close follow up on all labs that need to be monitored based on your treatment and any labs that might be abnormal. Also for all females yearly mammogram or more frequently if indicated are required. For all men based on their history and or age a yearly routine evaluation by their urologist is warranted.
  • HOW OFTEN SHOULD I VISIT THE WELLNESS CLINIC?
    The frequency of visits depends on your individual health needs and goals. Some patients benefit from monthly check-ins, while others may only need quarterly or annual visits. We will work with you to determine the best schedule.
  • DO YOU OFFER FINANCING OPTIONS?
    We do not offer financing. We charge our patient per visit or per service rendered. There are no contracts or long term agreements. We will suggest a plan of treatment and appropriate follow up.
  • ARE INSURANCE PLANS ACCEPTED FOR THE MEDICAL EVALUATION?
    Our office has no contract or agreement with any local insurance. We are considered out of network. Upon request by the patient, we will issue you a detailed receipt of payment within 3-5 working days to your e-mail address. We will include all necessary diagnosis codes, length of evaluation appropriate billing codes. Most insurance allow you to submit this for partial or full reimbursement. Also given this is a medical clinic, you may consult with your HR department in order to use your flex-spending account for payment.
  • WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
    For your convenience, our practices accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express). For your security we can offer to send you an invoice via e-mail which you could pay electronically. We do not retain any credit card information in our office.
  • HOW CAN I GET A COPY OF MY TEST RESULTS AND MEDICAL RECORDS?
    To receive a copy of your test results and medical records, send us a written request via e-mail. You will need to sign a consent form to release this information if your records are being sent to another office or hospital. Once everything is verified a digital copy will be sent to the email provided. You may wish to contact us to inquire about the fee associated with such a service. Please note that we NEVER retain any original study reports, laboratory results or any other paperwork. We digitalize all papers brought by the patient and the originals are always handed back to the patient. There might be instances that the physician will note the medical chart with a result but will not keep the original documentation. It is the patients responsibility to keep and safe guard all of his / hers medical information and documentation from hi or her different healthcare providers.
  • IS MY HEALTH INSURANCE NEEDED?
    You may use your health insurance, based on your insurance coverage) for any labs or medical testing requested by the doctor. Most of the laboratory work, x-rays, radiological tests or diagnostic studies order during your visit can be done at the provider or service center of your choosing. Please make sure to request that all reposts and results be forwarded to us.
  • HOW DO I KNOW IF MY HEALTH INSURANCE QUALIFIES FOR A FLAT FEE CO-PAY FOR THE LABORATORY WORKUP?
    Please contact our staff and they will verify if your health insurance qualifies for a flat fee co-pay for the laboratory workup requested. Our referrence laboratories guarantee us that if you health insurance qualifies, there will be no surprise charges in the future from that laboratory anaysis. Please not that at FiTbodymd, we do charge a fee for the blood drawing service and that such service is provided by appointment only.
  • CAN I CONTINUE WITH MY PERSONAL TRAINER THAT I HAVE HAD FOR YEARS?
    Our clinic, at patient request, can contact your personal trainer / coach and explain the integration of our recommendations to your daily exercise routine. We also like that your health coach keep in contact with us and updates us with your progress.
  • I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE AND I AM AFRAID THAT WHAT YOU DO IS COMPLICATED!
    On the contrary, what we strive is that many of us who have certain health goals can benefit from the same science professional athletes use to train. We have developed a unique way to apply the very complex health science used during professional training in our day to day lives taking into account our complex daily responsibilities for job, family, etc. The goal is to keep it simple yet highly effective and most of all to have fun while at it. We love when our patients say that their friends have notices great improvement in their physics, well being and health.
  • BUT WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO TRAIN FOREVER !
    Out clinics main goal is for you to be able to achieve your health dreams in a healthy enjoyable way. Of course we do not pretend for you to be eternally training for a marathon. We strive to teach good habits and provide knowledge that you can incorporate into your daily living, in order to achieve a more productive and enjoyable life.
  • WILL I ALWAYS SEE MY OWN DOCTOR?
    When you have an appointment scheduled with your own doctor, that is who you will see. If you need to schedule an appointment urgently and your doctor is not available, we may ask if you would like to be seen by another doctor. There might be a time that a covering doctor is taking ouver while the main doctor is on an academic leave or vacation.
